You’ve got to love the dining diversity of Houston, which can be even more impressive in points southwest.

...and mostly set in Houston
I had a very enjoyable lunch today with my small group at work at Maharaja Bhog, a vegetarian thali restaurant specializing in the cuisines from the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan in western India that my co-worker from southern India had been touting to me for about a year, she finally got us there. I’ll be back. This first U.S. location of a five-outlet chain that began in Mumbai is located in strip center on the Southwest Freeway at Gessner and is adjacent to two other worthwhile ethnic restaurants. Immediately next door is a location of the lauded pho-specialist, Pho Binh, and next to that is Peking Cuisine serving the foods of northern China, including a good Peking Duck. In fact, my three Chinese co-workers each picked up orders of ducks to take home for dinner tonight. That’s an option that I was happy to learn about.
